God, for real?
Hiya! Yesterday I left off with a conversation about God and having a personal relationship with Him. But first, let's take a look at what's happening on the East and West Coasts of the United States right now. As predicted when I was in elementary school (circa the 1960's), California is indeed starting to crack off and fall into the ocean. The East coast is seeing beach houses crumble and tumble into the sea along an eroding shoreline. I am sorry these folks are in danger of losing their homes, but I have to question the choices that were made to build in these locations in the first place. And the local laws that allowed such construction to happen.
Choices. God gives us all the freedom to make the choices over every aspect of our lives. The biggest and most important choice is whether or not we choose to have a personal relationship with Him. Every other choice we make in life stems from that relationship. How else can we know right from wrong?
God is always there. He gave each of us a unique brain and a unique life. In that life, He gave us each a unique gift or talent, if you will. Each of us has a job to do; a mission to complete. He is not willing that anyone turns away from Him, or that anyone should deny Him. He gave us WORTH.
This is a huge topic, so I will continue discussing it bit by bit along with other thoughts as the days go by. Please feel free to comment!
