Word of the Day

"Wuzgonna" That's today's word. As in, I was going to...

Have you been experiencing those moments in your grief? "I was/we were going to do (whatever), but I/we didn't get the chance,"? If you have been, doesn't it just add guilt on top of your already grieving spirit? It does that to me.

How do we get past this now? First, we must bring ourselves to realizing that time just keeps moving forward. It's impossible for it to reverse. We cannot go back and undo or redo a thing. It's pointless to beat ourselves up over what didn't get done. Our focus must now be on what lies ahead, what can still BE done. What are those things that are priorities NOW that we can see so much more clearly? For me, it's no longer working to get stuff. It's the getting rid of stuff and spending time rather than dollars. Time with friends, time with family, but most importantly, time with God.

Yes, God.

To those of you who believe in a personal relationship with God, this should not be a surprise. To those who are not familiar with the concept, don't go away. I will continue tomorrow with some basics in how to get to know God and how to have this personal, loving relationship with Him.

Until tomorrow, don't put off any more of your "wuzgonnas"!
